A “Hello World” program illustrates entry into a new programming language. So is this post, an entry into my blog. The why and what questions, I will answer here. But before then, I will like to introduce myself.
Who am I?
I am Emmanuel, an experienced Mobile Engineer with focus on native Android and iOS development. I have worked as a Mobile Engineer for various companies, both in Nigeria and outside the country; companies focused on payment, data, cryptocurrency, e-commerce, logistic and lots more. Personally, I have developed and published a number of utility applications that are in use by people out there and helping them get things done. I also make good tools and libraries that are in use by developers around the world.
I also have experience working with a couple of web technologies. I write for web, sometimes, if needed. I have interest in blockchain technology. I have built and worked on a couple of small blockchain dApps and had the privilege to have worked with a company that uses blockchain technology. Maybe I might find myself here again, someday.
I love designs. I am very keen about UI/UX. In fact, I sometimes love to consider UI/UX design as my side-chick. Oh, no c’mon… I would never cheat on mobile development.
I contribute to open source, when I can. As a matter of fact, most of my apps and all of my libraries are open source.
My Picture? Find it somewhere on this page.
Why did I create this blog?
First, I am very good at what I do. Oh, that sounds proud! Well..yeah!! I have worked and earned it. With the experience gained over the years, I think I do have enough knowledge to share with my fellow mobile developers, especially the beginner and intermediate developers.
Also, I am passionate about seeing people learn and earn a career in Software Engineering, especially Android and iOS development. So I want to put in my quota, to help, to mentor and to teach, with the knowledge that I have.
Surely, there would be similar resources and contents out there, just like you will find here. However, we all have different teaching methods, different approaches to concepts and different views from which we see things. Who knows, here might be where you will find a solution to a problem of yours or the perfect explanation of a concept, that you needed.
What should you expect?
My focus is on Mobile development, majorly native Android and iOS development. Expect articles and tutorials about:
- What’s new in Android and iOS development
- How to’s…
- Solutions to common problems faced in Android and iOS development
- Useful resources out there needed by mobile developers
..and lots more.
How can you make the best use of this blog?
In the next few days, I will be making it possible to subscribe to weekly newsletters I will be rolling out. Ensure you subscribe. That way, you get updated always about new posts when they are up.
